Hemi te Moa
A giant among creatures, and gentle with it. Hemi te Moa is believed to be the last surviving Moa, a giant bird once native to Aotearoa (New Zealand), who slipped through the veil of time and now wanders the Realm searching for Ngā Manu (the Bird Tribe). Here he is in his cloak of iridescent feathers, looking you right in the eye, with toetoe, pāua shells and a kōura on the rocks beside him. On the other side a kōtuku stands above the surf, beneath the Tino Rangatiratanga flag and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
