Look closely and you’ll notice something curious.
Their names are the same… simply reversed.

No one knows exactly when one becomes the other.

Nerisa is calm in its purest form. 🌊
She moves like sacred water, speaks softly, and carries a stillness that makes people lower their voices without quite knowing why.
She is kind, patient, and occasionally genuinely shocked by nonsense, at which point she will absolutely clutch her pearls like a scandalized sea duchess. 🐚😳
She is known across the Realm for helping dolphins work through complicated emotional histories.
And dolphins, as it turns out, have quite a few. 🐬💭

Nerisa claims to know very little about the world above Mermaids Cove.
She certainly does not know Thalos.

When the tide shifts, Nerisa becomes something else.
That is when the Realm meets Asiren. 🌊⚡
Asiren is the Mistress of the Deep — seductive, dangerous, and very comfortable letting someone finish their mistake before correcting it.
She does not clutch pearls.
She leans in.
And quietly says:
“You first.” 🫧😈
Storms are said to begin in her throat. ⚡
Songs become weather.
And dolphins — once again — are left with complicated feelings. 🐬😬

The Realm has spent a great deal of time wondering what that meant.
Some believe the shadow was jealousy.
Some believe it was fate.

But a quieter theory exists.
A theory whispered by dolphins who remember songs better than they should. 🐬🎶
They say the shadow may not have been a person at all.
They say it may have been another tide of the same soul.
Because not long after the separation, Thalos released a ballad so painfully tender that half the forest had to sit down.

A song about loving someone who was never yours.
The strange thing?
The song does not sound like it is about a storm.
It sounds like it is about still water. 🌊
And Nerisa, when asked about it, simply clutched her pearls and asked:
